Before we left home for Gage’s last clinic visit for chemotherapy this morning, I finally finished the details of the invitation below…

After our clinic appointment today, I picked Avery up at school. I know she was, as usual, worried about Gage today because I got an email from her teacher asking for an update so Avery would know when his appointment was finished. So, I emailed an iPhone picture of Gage with a big ‘thumbs up’ to her teacher…who then shared it with Avery. I know that helped her, but I could still see the relief on her face when I picked her up this afternoon. As we shared a big hug, I told her, “Avery, you never have to go to school again when Gage is at Children’s getting chemo.” I know that felt good for both of us.
Please pray for Gage this week as he completes his last week of steroids and extra chemotherapy, and that the nightly chemo he continues until Sept. 17th would go smoothly.
